About
I am an attorney with a background in anthropology and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) . I am interested in the intersection of technology and privacy. In the interest of full disclosure, while this is my personal blog and expresses solely my own thoughts and opinions, I am Deputy General Counsel at Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. (CableLabs). CableLabs is a cable industry funded R&D consortium. However, the views expressed by me on this site me are mine and do not necessarily reflect any views of CableLabs or its members.
Privacy and technology are the gin and vermouth of the Internet. Each topic has its own complexities. Mix them together and you get an interesting cocktail that makes people irrational quick.
I am an attorney looking for answers to privacy and technology issues. This blog is designed to provide content that will make both of us think. There are plenty of places for you to go to get a regular dose of privacy fears. This isn’t one of them. Here you’ll get thoughtful links and commentary. I want to hear from you. Just keep it smart and civil.
